Saugeen Shores is a growing community located on the Lake Huron coastline in Bruce County and covers 170 square kilometers. Saugeen Shores is the amalgamated municipalities of Port Elgin, Saugeen Township and Southampton.
The Saugeen Shores Police Service is accepting applications from candidates for the position of casual part-time Cell Custodian / Jail Guard. The hours of work for this position is on an as-needed basis, primarily night shift duties (7p-7a). The Cell Custodian / Jail Guard is responsible for the care and control of detainees, and to provide members with the information necessary to ensure that the police service cell block area is operated in a safe and secure manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid First Aid / CPR Certificate

*The starting salary will be as listed in the Collective Agreement. 2025 rate of pay is $28.62/hour
