Flight form Police and Damage to Cruiser

On August 27th 2022 at approximately 8:10pm Saugeen Shores Police attempted to stop a Motor Vehicle that was operating on Goderich Street in the Town of Saugeen Shores. The driver of the motor vehicle exited the parked car and spoke with officers. At that time a passenger of the vehicle slid into the driver seat, put the vehicle in reverse and collided with the parked police vehicle causing damage.

The vehicle then sped off from the area at a high rate of speed west bound and failed to stop at several stop signs. Due to the dangerous operation of the motor vehicle and the risk to public safety a pursuit was not initiated.

Police were able to identify the driver and a warrant is being sought for his arrest.

Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1)

Assault with a Weapon x2 CC 267(a)

Operation while Prohibited CC 320.18(1)(a)
