Aggravated Assault

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

 

On March 4th 2021 at 9:50pm Saugeen Shores Police responded to a call for service regarding an assault in progress at a Port Elgin residence. The assault was occurring between roommates and began due to a disagreement over parking and noise.

Police were made aware that a female had now armed herself with a knife.

Officers attended the address and located a 26-year-old female victim who was suffering from a stab wound to her arm and lacerations to her leg.

Police located a second female inside the residence and placed her under arrest without incident.

EMS attended and both parties were transported to the Grey Bruce Health Services Hospital in Southampton for treatment.

As a result of this investigation a 46-year-old female from Saugeen Shores has been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault. She was held in custody to await a Bail Hearing.
