Operation “Stay In Your Lane” Results

The latest installment of the Saugeen Shores Police Service’s traffic safety initiatives, Operation “Stay In Your Lane” kicked off on August 28th lasting until September 7th.

Officers targeted aggressive drivers on area roads.  In total 45 charges were laid. Charges turns not in safety, stop signs violations and speeding.

An Owen Sound man was charged with Stunt Driving – Race Motor Vehicle and Dangerous Driving under the Criminal Code.  In addition to the charges, the man’s vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.

These traffic safety initiatives have been created to address concerns from our citizens.  Input from our community is essential in helping to keep our roads safe.
