Robbery at Port Elgin Convenience Store

Break and Enter and Robbery in Port Elgin

On August 12th at approximately 2:20 am officers were dispatched to a break and enter and robbery that had just occurred at a closed convenience store in downtown Port Elgin.

A male suspect forced his way into the closed store. While in the store he was confronted by an employee who was still finishing up for the day. A brief struggle followed resulting the suspect assaulting the employee, allowing for an escape.  

Officers immediately responded and could not locate the suspect.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a male suspect.

The incident was captured on video surveillance.

Description:

  • Male white
  • Heavy build
  • Medium length brown hair
  • Beard or unshaven
  • Black shorts, white and black polo shirt, and a black baseball hat
