April 12, 2020On April 7th at 8:30pm officers were dispatched to a local restaurant following reports a suspected impaired driver who had just ordered food in the Drive-Thru line. Police arrived and located the suspect vehicle. Police spoke with the driver and determined they were impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested for Operation While Impaired and transported to the Police Station where they provided samples of their breath to a Qualified Breath Technician. The driver registered readings of 240 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood and 260 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. A 33 year old woman has been charged with: • Operation while impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) CC 320.14(1)(b) She was released with a court date.
