On October 5th, 2018 a Saugeen Shores resident reported that they were defrauded out of a large amount of money.  The victim was having problems with an Iphone and contacted a fraudulent company that purported to be Apple support.  The fake company kept the victim on the phone for two hours as they went to various businesses to purchase Itunes cards to pay for services.

The victim found the fraudulent company on the internet, which had a very convincing website.  The Saugeen Shores Police are reminding people to be vigilant with online purchases and technical support.  Please verify the validity of the persons or websites you visit before paying for services.
