Robbery - Youth arrested and charged

ROBBERY

On September 20th, 2018 at approximately 11:30pm a male youth approached a person unknown to him and attempted to steal a wallet.  A brief struggle followed with the victim retaining the wallet but losing a bag containing a sandwich and a cell phone.  Eventually the youth returned the bag and threatened to harm the victim.

After the incident the youth stole a bicycle in an attempt to flee the area.

Officers conducted an investigation and identified a 17 year old Port Elgin male as the suspect.  On September 22nd he was arrested and charged with Robbery and theft of the bicycle.  The youth was released from custody with a court date.
