Board Chair

I am honoured and humbled to have been elected 2023 Chair of the Saugeen Shores Police Services Board.

Having served as Chair on Municipal committees, as President of various local charitable organizations and having been involved in manufacturing and retail management for more than 30 years, I realize the vital and integral connection that our Police Service has with the community.

Also, as a member of the Police Services Board since being appointed in July, 2019 by the Solicitor General’s Office, I have come to appreciate even more the key role that our dedicated men and women in uniform play in ensuring that Saugeen Shores is a safe community in which to live, work and play.

Under the guidance of the Police Services Board and with the leadership of the Chief of Police, Saugeen Shores Police Service is widely recognized for its proactive and forward thinking stance in today’s policing. 

Many know and understand that Saugeen Shores is the fastest growing community in our region and, as an independent Board of Directors under the jurisdiction of the Solicitor General of Ontario, we must ensure that our Police Service continues to remain modern with the tools and resources that it needs to meet today’s challenges.

As an open and transparent Board, the public is invited to attend our meetings which are held monthly at Police Headquarters in Port Elgin.
