September 2021 - Calls for Service

Saugeen Shores Police Service officers were busy during the month of September responding to 996 calls for service. One day in particular will be remembered for many years.

On September 7th our members responded to several calls for service resulting from a violent EF2 Bow Echo storm.  Our communications branch received 72 calls for service, on a day where around 30 calls is the average. Of those 72 calls, officers responded to 28 reports of Dangerous Conditions related to storm damage and outages. The resilience of everyone affected and all responders that day is to be commended.
