Two Impaired Driving Arrests

Incident #1

On November 9th at 2:22am officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on North Shore Road.  Officers arrived on scene and observed a vehicle leaning against a hydro pole.

Officers spoke to the female driver who displayed signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside breath test was administered, resulting in a fail.  The female was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation.  She was transported to the police station for breath tests.

While at the station the female provided two breath samples of 150mgs of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

A 22 year old Sioux Lookout woman has been charged with;

  1. Operation while impaired – alcohol
  2. Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (Over 80)

Her licence was administratively suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.  She was released with a court date.

Incident #2

On November 9th at approximately 8pm officers located a female parked in a Port Elgin driveway passed out in the front seat of a car.

Officers woke the female up and observed signs of alcohol consumption and intoxication.  She was placed under arrest for Operation While Impaired.

She was transported to the station for proper analysis of her blood alcohol content.  She provided two  breath samples of 4.5 times the legal limit.

  • Sample #1 – 360 mgs of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood
  • Sample #2 – 370 mgs of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood

A 35 year old Port Elgin women has been charged with:

  1. Operation while impaired – alcohol
  2. Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (Over 80)

Her licence was administratively suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.  She was released with a court date.
