Weapons and assault Charges

On September 24, 2018, at 3:40pm, the Saugeen Shores Police Service was dispatched to an apartment building on Goderich St.  A male caller was reporting that he had been assaulted by a male inside his apartment.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service arrived at the building and located the responsible male outside.  He was arrested for assault, and when searched 2 knives were located, one of which was a Prohibited Weapon.

As a result of the investigation, a Port Elgin man was charged with Assault, Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.  He was released from custody and is to appear in the Walkerton – Ontario Court of Justice.
