Identity theft and computer scams are here to stay. Do everything you can do to protect yourself. Think about what you throw away in the trash with identifying information on it. Could enough of it be used to set up a bank account or credit card account? Invest in a small shredder, they don’t cost much. Shred any document you want to discard, protect yourself from those who wish to take advantage of you. Make sure you keep an updated virus detection system on your computer, use passwords to your devices. If it is difficult for someone to get your information they will move onto the next person that maybe has not taken the precautions they should have.
