6 March 2012, police responded to a mischief complaint at a trailer in the Port Elgin trailer park. It is unknown when the damage occurred, there was no entry to the trailer.

6 March 2012, police responded to a mischief complaint. It is believed that on Sunday evening, 4 March 2012, someone scratched the side of a pick up truck parked at the Tim Hortonís lot in Port Elgin. No suspects.

8 March 2012, police responded to an assault complaint at a residence in Southampton. As a result of the investigation a 19 year old Southampton male was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault, breach of a recognizance and uttering threats. He was held for a bail hearing.

9 March 2012, at 11:20 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision where a vehicle left the road on Carlisle St. The GMC van left the roadway and struck a high voltage hydro pole shearing the pole off. The road needed to be closed for some time while Hydro fixed the damage. There were no injuries but the vehicle sustained substantial damage.

9 March 2012, at 3:18 pm police attended to a home in Port Elgin to a mischief call. Someone threw a rock through a large front window breaking it. Police checked the area but did not locate the culprit.

10 March 2012, at 10:01 pm police conducted RIDE at North Rankin St Southampton, 60 vehicles were checked, one Highway Traffic Act charge, one Highway Traffic Act warning and one drug seizure.

10 March 2012, while conducting RIDE a vehicle came through with an expired validation tag. This led to a seizure of a small amount of marihuana. The marihuana was destroyed at the scene with no charges but the driver received a ticket for driving with a validation tag that expired in Dec 2011.

11 March 2012, at 2:21 pm police arrested a 26 year old Southampton male carrying beer along Railway St while on a release condition of the court not to possess alcohol. He was charged with breach of recognizance and held for a bail hearing.

11 March 2012, at 6:08 pm a vehicle was stopped on Bruce County Rd #3 for a headlight out. The driver was unable to produce a driverís licence and identified himself verbally. Police detected an odour of marihuana in the vehicle.  The driver then identified himself with another name and stated he was prohibited from driving. Police seized 47 grams of marihuana from the vehicle. A 21 year old Tara male was charged with possession of marihuana, drive while under suspension for unpaid fines, drive disqualified and breach of recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
