26 February 2010, at 8:04 am police received a report of someone canvassing for money over the phone on behalf of police. The organization was called Cops for Kids Safety. While this is a legitimate organization out west it appears that someone is trying to solicit funds using their name. The Saugeen Shores Police Service does not have anyone raising money through Cops for Kids Safety. If contacted simply ask for the police service affiliation and a call back number then provide that information to this police service for follow-up.

28 February 2010, at 12:48 am police responded to the Queens Bar and Grill to a report of a person breaching their probation conditions. Police located a 20 year old Saugeen First Nation male and arrested him for breaching conditions of probation. The male later caused damage in the cell and was also charged with mischief.
