Victims Services Bruce Grey and Owen Sound

Mission Statement

In partnership with Emergency Services & Community Agencies, we provide immediate support to victims of crime and tragic circumstance.

Trained Victim Services Volunteer Responders provide short term crisis intervention 24/7 for people who have experienced:

·        Sudden death

·        Partner abuse

·        Stalking

·        Elder abuse

·        Property crime

·        Fire

·        Motor vehicle collision

·        Assault

As a responder, you will provide support and referrals to people in crisis in our community.  We ask for a commitment of 12 hours a week on an on-call basis.  Responders work in teams of two, delivering service either on-scene or over the telephone as the circumstance requires.

We provide a comprehensive 40 hour Core Training Program giving you the skills to make a difference in your community.  We also provide additional training specific to the needs of victims and community services.
